This issue maybe because of plugin (if installed). So please deactivate all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

@Gourav, thank you for looking into the problem but what you did has resolved one problem but where and how do I customise the menu? I need to create a new menu than the that you activated by default.

I don't have access to this theme as I'm no longer a monthly paid member of InkTheme so have no access to download this specific theme. You will need to either fix it or upload the specific file on my server if I give you the ftp details. Alternatively send me the theme by email. Please reply.
