unwanted registration user role problem Please check urgently

Hello,

Facing 2 issue-

1. Website name is oye30.com. By default user role is subscriber but when any user register on this website its turn to author but in setting page by default user role is subscriber.... http://www.oye30.com/template-login/

2. Daily unwanted people register on this website and also change user role (30- 40 people register on this site daily)

Please check this issue urgently ... mail you website password

Just find the following line in "functions/registration.php" and comment it out:

PHP:

wp_update_user(array('ID' => $user_id, 'role' => 'author'));

I want to ask the developers what is the reason behind setting the newly registered user's role to an "author"? This doesn't seem to be a good practice at all.

 

We have already made some changes in the theme and updated new version into the members area, please check the freshly downloaded file, you will see subscriber in place of author.
