hi folks, i wrote a new site-template and want to make it the starte-page but if i choose the page at the options>read menu, the theme shows me the front-page.php template how can i use another template - or have i to overwrite the original front-page.php? thx
Hello, Firstly go to Appearance > Theme Option > General Settings > Front Page On/Off and turn it off. Now, Go to Settings > Reading and select your static page from there. Sending image for reference
hi gourav, that was, what i did! but it don't work i use youre theme in a mulitsite installation when i take any page and specify it for start-page - the theme shows me every time the origin starte page (of the theme) not the site i have choosen!? i wrote a new template with the vide0 slider like the videocraft theme but below the slider i want a normal site - it works as a site - but when i got to the settings and make this site as the start/home-site - the template shows me below the slider it should show a normal wp-page (not the category videos) - as a site it works, when i switch the front page (like you showed in the screenshot in your reply) it don't work have you any idea why? thx for helping edi
--------- i fixed it ! the problem was: you first have to switch off "front page on/off" in theme options ! than you can set a static page on wp-options ) thx
another question: where can i change themes language? i made a german .mo and .po file and loaded it up but where should i make the changes that it displays the german language ??
