    Hi,

    Greetings from InkThemes,

It would be our pleasure to serve you.

As I have checked, you are on a very old version of your theme. Kindly upgrade the theme to the latest version available from the member's area. To update the theme, you have to first delete the older theme from your dashboard.

Note: - Please create a backup of your website before upgrading the theme.

Hope it will resolve your issue

    Thanks & Regards!

so does this mean that your theme do not automatically upadte?

I use other themes and when a newer version is available you get a notification in the admin - click upgrade - and a few seconds and it updates withput having to back up & such

nor can I find the Compass theme using the video you posted (which looks nothing like what I see when I log in)

the invoice number for my Compass theme purchase was BXRW6

also the video does not demonstrate what i need - the video shows installing a new theme - it does not appear to be overwriting an existing, active one

ok - now i have the theme

your video does not show what I need to do

the current version of Compass that I have installed has had a lot of customisation by your techs and also some that I have done to make the them work well with woocommerce

I want to ensure these customisations are not lost

I was told earlier in this thread to de-activate & delete the old theme and then install the new one but when I tried it yesterday almost all the customising was lost & I had to restore the site for a server backup

can you please explain the exact process

    Hello,

Here are the steps involved in doing so:

Download the theme by logging in your members account:

    http://inkthemes.com/members/member

Next, you have to extract the zip file and rename that folder Compasstheme like Compasstheme _new,

Again, you would need to create a zip file of that renamed folder (say: Compasstheme _new.zip),

Now, upload the theme in your WordPress from Dashboard->Appearance->Themes->Add New,

    Then, activate your theme,

This way you can install and activate your updated version in your site,

    Hope you find it helpful,

Do let me know if you need more assistance,

I would be glad to assist you further,

    Enjoy your theme...

Note: Don't delete the old theme....

    Thanks & Regards!

ok - i tried that - it still did not work !!

it has lost most of the woo-commerce specific customisation that your techs did (so i don't know how to re-create the changes)

the new theme DID NOT FIX the original problems I enquried about anyway

when I switch to the new version the problems are as follows

    - the Home button still covers the logo on a small screen on many page (not on the woo commerces pages though) (see attached)
    - the phone version has a huge black border down the right hand side of the home page (see attached)
    - the images & description on the product pages are hard against the border on the left of the screen
    - all woo commerce related page are hard against the left border
    - products pages have - related products - which was turned off in the previous version
    - product pages are displaying the right hand widgets at the bottom of the page
    - the "Go Shopping" menu on the product pages is dark grey text on a slightly grey background so almost unreadable
    - the cart page on the mobile version does not seem to be responsive

many of these things were corrected by your techs a few weeks ago

I will email the login details to [email protected] in the hope that someone can have a look and possibly rectify the problems for me

(for anyone else following this - there have been several email exchanges - some of which made some progress & the full screen site is now fine)

    as per my email reply

    the menu overlap is fixed

but sorry - but all the mobile issues are still there ??
it looks fine in landscape but in vertical almost every page is wrong (cut off)

if only the pages could be forced to load landscape - if that happened viewers would turn their phone aspect and all would be well !!

    Hello -

I am also having an issue with the logo in the header not being able to scale with screen size on mobile devices and smaller screens. If there is a fix for this issue can the OP or a tech please post it?

    Thanks
    Tim
