Is this possible: Change Home page bottom area from Blog Listing TO Text Area + Sidebar?

Greetings!

I have a potential client whose website content does not require blog posts on the Home page, BUT does need additional space for text and other information (e.g., map, hours open, etc.).

Would it be possible to replace this blog listing section ...



...with something like this?

That's possible, we can do the above-said customization, bust as you can see this will take some time as well, you will be charged for the same.

Would this customization be part of a child theme so that when the Golden Eagle theme is updated all of the changes will remain?
