Home Page Blog Heading Text truncating

I have been trying to change the Home Page Blog Heading Text to:
News of <span style="color: #883230;">The Barn at Stratford</span>
when I hit Enter, it immediately updates and the heading is changed.

When I return to the site later, the text is truncated to:
News of <span style=

This has happened many times over the past week.

Any suggestions.
