    Hi,

I've just upgraded from to the pro version of the Compass Theme and the static home page option in customize no longer works. It keeps loading the compass default homepage with slider etc.

The static home page was working fine in the demo version but not so in the latest pro version.

I don't want to use any of the home page features just a very basic page with side bar widgets for Search and Recent Posts. Same setup as the blog posts.

I had this all working fine before the upgrade to the pad pro version.

For I have reverted back to the working demo version of the Compass Theme.

Any help appreciated as I would like to use the pro features of this theme.
    Thanks.

    Hi Sameer,

    Just sent the details through.
The theme is currently set to the demo version so you can see how the website should look.
You will need to switch the theme over to the pro version to see the static home page is not working in the pro theme.

    thanks,
    Hamish

    Hi,

Thanks for being patient and cooperating with us..
We have fixed your issue. It was a bug in the theme itself.

We have updated the latest version of theme in members area.
Kindly download and install the latest version of theme.

After activating the theme, please turn "off" the front page from your dashboard.

    Hi Praveen,

    Still not working!

I have uploaded the new version and set the front page to "off" and it still doesn't load a static home page!
Please advise as I can't see this working!

Feel free to set it up on the site details I sent through.

    thanks,
    Hamish

The static home page fix works, but in turning off the home page, I also lose the slider at the top. I'm trying to show my site with the slider at the top, but with static text under it instead of the feature boxes and blog posts. How can I do this?

    Hello Lcurty,

As if now the feature that you are asking for is not possible with the static page as it appears only when your home page gets turned off. It will be possible through source code customization. As for this we need to create a separate static template that includes your static text and slider.

Also, we will charge you for this customization as it comes under our theme customization policy.

Do let me know if you agree then, I will tell you the amount and mode of payment.

I will look forward to hearing from you soon.

Thank you, but I found instructions in another post for how to edit the code to make this happen. I'll try that route first instead.
