WordPress Administration Question

For setting up users, is it possible to setup a user with permissions

for uploading pictures to the blog page
for updating posts on the blog page including pictures

but also hiding the pages section etc

so that they ONLY have access to the POSTS / Media upload pictures?

For this go to the
Dashboard > Users > All users
and set user role as "Author"
Check image attached.
