I guess I'm confused as to why the blog sidebar is appearing on non-blog pages. Please advise how to fix this, as I want other widgets to show on NON-BLOG pages. The blog sidebar should just be on the blog pages.

Note, this seems to be built into the template, and not something I want to try to dig into.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

You can select fullwidth template from the page attribute section to remove the sidebar from the pages.

If you want the sidebar with pages as well as different sidebar widgets on different pages
then select default template from the page attribute section and use Dynamic Widgets plugin to control on which pages your widgets will appear.

You can download Dynamic Widgets plugin from the link given below and install it from the Plugins panel (Plugins ->Add New ->Upload) in your Dashboard.
    http://wordpress.org/plugins/dynamic-widgets/

    See the link given below

I hope this will help you.
