Hi, I am using Local Business Pro Responsive Theme version 1.7.6 and saw a newer release on your home page (version 2.0.1). Thinking I should keep up to date, I downloaded the upgrade and installed it. The results are completely wrong. To begin, the wrong page is being displayed as my home page.

I've attached 2 images, the first one is correct result from version 1.7.6. The second is the incorrect result from version 2.0.1.

The footer pages are missing, the facebook logo is at the bottom and should be at the top, the page is from a different page entirely, etc. Is this the latest version of the Local Business Responsive Theme? Maybe the file I downloaded is damaged?

I have re-installed the earlier version, but would like to keep up with the updates.

    My website is http://www.homespecialistsinc.com.

Please let me know what you think.

    Hi Steve,

    Greetings from InkThemes,

I am glad to inform you that- Your issue has been fixed, Kindly visit your site and check your email.

It was due to your Front Page display settings, you have configured it to Static page instead of keeping it to Latest Posts.

Also, we have transferred your changes to the new version as well,

Do let me know if you need further assistance,

I will be glad to assist you,

    Warm Regards!

    Hello Naveen,

Thank you for upgrading my website. I really appreciate your help.

The Local Business Pro Theme has apparently undergone some feature changes that are quite unexpected. As a result, my website has lost a few important features so I have a few questions:

    1. I don't understand the difference between "Static" and "Latest Post". I have always used the "Static" setting for the past almost 4 years that I've been using this theme. I don't use a blog page, and don't want to receive replies from visitors to my site. I don't see a way to control which page the "Leave a Reply" section is displayed on. How can I remove the "Leave a Reply" section on my "About" page and "Contractor Info" pages.

    2. There is no longer a "Secondary Widget Area". I have several pages where I previously displayed one widget in the "Primary Widget Area" and a different widget in the "Secondary Widget Area". So is there a way to display 2 widgets, one above the other in the "Primary Widget Area"?

    3. I can no longer drag a widget from the "Available Widgets" or "Inactive Widget Area" to a "Sidebar Area".

    4. Also, I can no longer create a widget, or edit a widget. I used to be able to click it to open it up and see/edit the settings, but nothing happens when I click it now.

    5. I re-activated my child theme which uses the old version, but I still have the same issues with the widgets in #s 3 & 4 above.

    Please let me know.

    Thanks,

    Hello Steve,

For your information, If we are talking about the front page on coding aspects then, there are different ways to develop the code for front page of the theme.

    Please refer this link: https://codex.wordpress.org/Creating_a_Static_Front_Page

We used home.php for the pro version and that is why you must have reading settings configured to Latest Posts.

As far as Leave a Reply form is concerned, I have disabled it from your site, please check. It's the WordPress comments form actually and configured from Discussion settings of your WordPress.

You can reconfigure your Widgets from Dashboard->Appearance->Widgets and if you are facing any trouble then, just let us know, we will do the needful in your site.

I have checked your site and Widgets are Draggable and working properly, please check again.

Do let me know if you need further assistance,

I will be glad to assist you,

    Warm Regards!

    Hi Naveen,

First of all, I wish you a Happy New Year!

The reply form is now gone, thank you.

I found that one of my plugins, an editor, was causing the widgets not to be editable. I disabled it and I can now edit them, but not drag them. Don't understand why you can drag them and I can't.

Also, why is the FaceBook icon at the footer rather than the header? It used to be at the header before the upgrade, and your sample show it at the header.

The main issue I am now having is the first, second, and third footer widgets. I have text in the first, images and HTML in the second, and HTML in the third, but nothing is displayed. I've set the dynamic widgets to only the home page. These widgets are not working.

    Please let me know.

    Thanks,

    Hi Steve,

Wish you a Very Happy New Year!

I would like to tell you that the Dynamic Widget Plugin was creating a mess with the code, we have Deactivated the plugin.

You can have a look at your website now, the Footer Widget is working completely fine.

Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi Shruti,
    Thank you,

Is there another plugin you could recommend that lets me choose which widget is displayed on which page?

    Thanks,
    Steve Konetchy

    Hi Steve,

    I can understand your concern!

Would like to tell you that our theme won't support such types of plugins.

It uses the default WordPress features to use the Widgets.

    Hope you understand!

    Thanks & Regards,
