Search Bar only functions with default permalinks

I want to use SEO friendly URL's but when I activate this in Wordpress, the search bars no longer work.

My website is fitin12.com

Currently I have default permalinks but to see and example of where the search bar fails with friendly url's, try

Yes, sorry, you probably never saw the problem because in the meantime, I've installed a Wordpress Plugin, HTML5 Search for WordPress to solve the problem. I've switched back the Permalinks from 'Default' to 'Post Name' and it all works fine.

Thought others may want to know. The HTML5 Search for WordPress plugin simply takes over the default Wordpress search bar. You just install and activate (refresh the cache if necessary). No need to do any redesign. Their search bar is not as nice looking as the inkThemes one but it's accepable.
