Page to span a wider area

Hi

I would like the content to span a wider area by default and increase it to 1024 px instead of 960.

So a 1024 x 768 screen would have no margin and anything above would just see a proportional margin either side.

I have started by making changes to some of the container sizes that affect the homePage but its a huge headache as then other elements start to look bad... is there an easy'ish way of doing this?

Is it a case of replacing absolute sizes with percentages?
