Left home page column

Hello. Love the new theme. Really slick! I'm trying to set up the left home page column for a specific category and I'm having some trouble. What's the process for getting that set up? Thanks.

Left home page column is implemented to show latest posts. And in center are you can feature particular post while creating it.
It is not possible to define particular category for left column.

Okay. Thanks. I can work something out like that in the right sidebar using a plugin. However, I have nothing showing up in the left column at this time. I'm probably missing something simple in the settings. Here's a screenshot:

Thanks. Looks great! I was able to feature a category using the WP Category plugin in the right home page column.
