    I have been trying to add google fonts to the site at

    http://www.smartawordpress.com

    I have tried several plug-ins - none of which have worked

    I have added the following to the custom css

    body {
    font-family:'http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Lato', 'verdana', sans-serif;
    font-size:13px;
    line-height:25px;
    color:#373636;
    /*background:url(images/bg.png) repeat;*/
    background-attachment:fixed;
    }
    h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6 {
    font-family:'http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Quicksand:700', sans-serif;
    font-weight:bold;
    color:#490d67;
    }

    the font colour is changing but seems to be being overridden by the default Champagne and Limosuines font

    Hello,

    Greetings from InkThemes!

    Could you please add the google font in "style.css" file (Appearance=>Theme Editior=>style.css) rather than custom CSS field for once..

    To edit the file, you can use "wp-editor" plugin.

    You can also download and use it from the link https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-editor/.

    Hope it will resolve your issue

    Do let me know if you need more assistance,

    Thanks & Regards!

    ok

    I now have in the css file

    Code:
    @import url(css/reset.css);
    @import url(css/960_24_col_responsive.css);
    @import url(css/prettyPhoto.css);
    @import url(css/shortcode.css);
    @import url(https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Quicksand:700);
    @import url(https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Monserrat);
    body {
        font-family:tahoma, 'verdana', 'Lucida Grande', HelveticaNeue, 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;
        font-size:13px;
        line-height:25px;
        color:#373636;
        /*background:url(images/bg.png) repeat;*/
        background-attachment:fixed;
    }
    h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6 {
        font-family:"Champagne & Limousines", Arial, sans-serif;
        font-weight:bold;
        color:#010101;
    }

    and in my custom css I have

    Code:
    body {
        font-family:'http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Monserrat', 'verdana', sans-serif;
    }
    h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6 {
        font-family:'http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Quicksand:700', sans-serif;
        font-weight:bold;
        color:#490d67;
    }
    yet the champagne font still seems to be overriding and the body copy is not in monserrat

    I have tried several combinations but can't get it to work

    can you tell me what I am doing wrong ?

    ok thank you very much - The fonts are now working

    however - much of my custom css is not working now - I am not sure if it is related to the cufon issue

    2 pieces of custom css were working before you made the change but now are not - the are

    Code:
    .slider-wrapper {
          background: none !important;
    padding-bottom: 2px !important;
    margin-bottom: 2px !important;
    }
    which is to remove the grey shadow under the slider

    and this

    Code:
    @media only screen and (max-width: 480px) and (min-width: 401px){
      .slider-container {
        height: 375px !important;
    }}
    @media only screen and (max-width: 767px) and (min-width: 481px){
    .header {
      margin-top:0px !important;
    }
    .flexslider .slides img {
          margin-top: 179px !important;
    }
    .slider-container {
      height: 467px !important;
    }}
    @media only screen and (max-width: 960px) and (min-width: 768px){
    .flexslider .slides img {
      margin-top: 148px !important;
    }}
    @media only screen and (max-width: 1140px) and (min-width: 961px){
    .flexslider .slides img {
        margin-top: 83px !important;
    }}
    @media only screen and (max-width: 1400px) and (min-width: 1141px){
    .flexslider .slides img {
        margin-top: 54px !important;
    }}
    which is from this thread http://www.inkthemes.com/community/threads/slider-scaling.18567/
    to stop the menu covering the logo image

    I also notice on another site using roadfighter that the custom css (I have the same custom css as above in this site too) is not working now either
    http://smartartshosting.com.au/southside/

    the slider scaling was working yesterday

    and some new items I have added today do not seem to be working

    eg this one

    Code:
    .header_wrapper {
        margin-top: 0px !important;
    }
    and a couple of others

    I sent login details for both these sites yesterday if you need them

    ok

    I seem to have corrected the css problem (there was a bracket missing)

    however on the site http://smartartshosting.com.au/southside/

    the font replacement is still not working on the Headings

    I have re-set the style.css file to the default and I have added the following to the Custom Css

    Code:
    body {
        font-family:verdana, 'Lucida Grande', HelveticaNeue, 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;
        font-size:13px;
        line-height:25px;
        color:#373636;
        /*background:url(images/bg.png) repeat;*/
        background-attachment:fixed;
    }
    h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6 {
        font-family:"Arial Black", verdana, Arial, sans-serif;
        font-weight:normal;
        color:#010101;
    }
    The Verdana body copy is working but the Arial Black is overridden by the Champagne & Limousines font

    I have re-sent login details for this site
