following the directions at: http://www.inkthemes.com/create-gallery-on-wordpress-with-no-image-repetition/03/ when I delete an image (using the "Uploaded to this page" option selected) it is deleting hte image from the media library as well. I want to delete the images from the gallery page and NOT delete from the library. Is this able to be done and if so, how. Thanks
Hello, This is the WordPress feature, when you delete the images from the gallery pages it will also remove that image from the media library of your dashboard. To avoid this you need to upload the image also from the Media panel (Media panel > Add New) in your dashboard.
This response confuses me. The pictures were originally uploaded through the "Media - add new" process. I then followed the instructions provided by the link I first posted above to put them on the gallery page. I want to delete some of those items from the gallery page but I do not want them deleted from the main Media Library of the site. Is this possible or do I need to re-upload the pictures to the media library after deleting them? Thanks!
