    Hi can you tell me how to remove the section at the bottom of the home page which includes "contact us", "Our Pages, "search anything" and 'Inktheme themes" - i am using wordpress 4.1.

    Hello,

    For this you have to use text widget.They are by-default widgets on footer.
    Appearance =>widgets =>
    If you don't want use any widget at footer then use text widget.
    drag a text widget and drop on all 4 footer widget areas and do not fill any headings or text on widget.
