    Hi there

Our legal team requires some info for the cookies policy and I have been told you can assist with the tech inquiry.

Below is the requirements that need to be completed - hope you can help?

    Thank you in advance

Information about our use of cookies
Our [INSERT URL] (our site) uses cookies to distinguish you from other users of our site. This helps us to provide you with a good experience when you browse our site, and also allows us to improve our site. By continuing to browse the site, you are agreeing to our use of cookies*. *You will need to discuss with your web developer the appropriate way of drawing the use of cookies to the attention of visitors as soon as they enter the site, with a link to the full policy for details (such as by way of a pop-up or banner).
A cookie is a small file of letters and numbers that we store on your browser or the hard drive of your computer if you agree. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer's hard drive.
    We use the following cookies:
    · [Strictly necessary cookies. These are cookies that are required for the operation of our site. They include, for example, cookies that enable you to [log into secure areas of our site*]. *Your web developer will be able to advise you as to what kind of strictly necessary cookies your site uses, and we can then amend or delete the wording in this paragraph as required.
    · Analytical/performance cookies. They allow us to recognise and count the number of visitors and to see how visitors move around our site when they are using it. This helps us to improve the way our site works, for example, by ensuring that users are finding what they are looking for easily.
    · Functionality cookies. These are used to recognise you when you return to our site. This enables us to personalise our content for you, greet you by name and remember your preferences (for example, your choice of language or region).
    · Targeting cookies. These cookies record your visit to our site, the pages you have visited and the links you have followed. We will use this information to make our site and the advertising displayed on it more relevant to your interests. We may also share this information with third parties for this purpose.*] *The wording in this square-bracketed section is included by way of example only, and you will need to refer it to your web developer to check that it accurately reflects your specific use of cookies. Please let me know if it requires amendment after your web developer has looked at it.
You can find more information about the individual cookies we use and the purposes for which we use them in the table below*: *This is technical rather than legal information, and you will need to forward it to your web developer for completion. The wording I have put in the table is indicative only, to give you a flavour of the level of detail that is required to satisfy your legal obligations.
