Change size of blog image

Good morning,

I would like to change the size of the blog images. When I add images, they are smaller than in the original theme. How can I do that muy blog images are like in the original Blackbird theme?

But I have a problem. Now the image have a good size but it has bad resolution, the image is blurred. I upload the original image with 950x600 size. What is the problem?
