Change <H1> tags to <H2> tags

I am working on optimizing my site for SEO.

How do I change <H1> tags to <H2> tags on the main page and posts categories pages

Hello,

Go to the front-page.php file and category.php file present in your theme directory and edit code of both the file as per your requirement.

 

I also need to change the posts tittles listed on the category page from H1 to H2

For this
open "loop.php" file and search (ctrl+f) "h1" and change it to "h2".
