Error message clients getting when trying to login

    Hi
    clients who are trying are to login in to renew or amend their listing are getting this message

    Error: Invalid username
    Error: Incorrect password

    and this is coming up at top of page

    Warning: hash_equals(): Expected known_string to be a string, null given in /home/carbsdir/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 2329
