I have Themia v2.1.4 installed for a website. I set it up a long time ago and I am now re-visiting it.

I have a "Contact Us" page with the form which sends an email out.

The Contact Us form has fields labelled as follows:-
    • Your Name
    • Your Email
    • Your Website
    • Your Message
I think these are supplied by default. I am sure I did not define them.

I should like to change these fields - for example, I might like to add a "Subject" field or remove the "Your website" field or change the labels of the fields.

    Is this possible, please?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Yes, it is possible, we will configure it via source code. Just let me know what text you want for the fields and send the admin credentials of your website at [email protected] along with the thread link.

Or you can make the use of the below-linked plugin to create your own contact form.

    1. https://wordpress.org/plugins/contact-form-7/

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thank you. I will send an email shortly.

EDIT: I have figured out how to do this. I edited the template-contact.php file. My question has now changed into two questions:-

    Question 1:-
On the Contact Page I should like to include also some additional text to provide the geographical address and telephone number of the business.

I appreciate I could hack some edits into the template-contact.php file. This would be an inelegant solution.

Does the latest version of the theme provide the ability to add additional text or is this a limitation of the theme? - in which case maybe I should just resort to using the contact-form-7 plugin that you recommended above.

    Question 2:-
When I attempt to send a message through the built-in contact form, it is apparently successful. But I do not know where the generated email goes. Where in the config do I specify the target email address for Contact Form messages?

    Thanks.

Answer 1:- You can add the text content in the Contact Us page from your WordPress Dashboard->Pages->Contact Us that will be visible along with our form. If you are unable to display normal text content in the contact page then, let us know, we will fix this on your site.

As far as adding new HTML fields in the form, there would be a source code customization required. We can do on your behalf, or you can use Contact Form 7 WordPress plugin.

Answer 2:- For your information, all the emails from the contact form will be sent PHP mail function or WordPress mail function to WordPress admin email id, that you have configured from the general settings of your WordPress. You must check spams/junk folder on your email account.

If your hosting or server allows SMTP then, you can install WordPress plugin and configure the SMTP details to send emails.

I hope you find the above information helpful,

Do let me know if you need further assistance.

I will be glad to assist you.

I have of course tried this and it does not work. I added text in the panel for the contents of the "Contact Us" page but it does not show up. Have you tried this yourselves with a Themia-based website?

I assumed that the admin's email address would be an obvious choice for the destination email address but nothing arrives. I have the "WP Mail SMTP" plugin installed. Is that a problem?

    Akbar,

You have advised me via email that these problem behaviours have been fixed. However:-

    1. When I use the Contact Us form, no email arrives (still).
    2. the additional text that I inserted into the Contact Us page in WordPress does not show up in the rendered page (still).

    Please advise.
