Managing Multiple WordPress Site From a Single Location With InfinteWP

I have already blogged about manageWP in my previous posts. Its easy to manage multiple websites from a single dashboard using ManageWP. Today I am going to help users who want to manage all their websites from a single location at no cost. Yes it’s possible with a free tool named InfiniteWP.

It’s really difficult to manage multiple websites separately. If you are owner of many websites then you are already aware of how irritating it is to open each single website separately and manage their content. InfiniteWP allows users to manage any number of WordPress websites from a single location; you can update your theme, plugins and manage your content.

InfiniteWP is completely free? Yes all its basic services are free and it also offers you premium addons for more features in case if you need them.

Install the tool and get it running:

First of all I should inform you that InfiniteWP is not a WordPress plugin so it need to be installed in some different way. First download InfiniteWP package and upload it to your server then extract files on server.

You can change the name of the folder and set it something that you like. For example you changed the folder name to “manage”. Suppose you uploaded this folder in root directory of your server then from browser you have to access the path “mysite.com/manage”. After accessing this url you have to follow some steps:

1# Accept InfiniteWP license agreement.

2#  Setup will check requirement of your server. If everything is ok just hit “continue button”.

3#  Enter All the asked information.

For those who are not into too much technical things I would love to help you in this. To get “database name” “database username” and “database password” from your old wordpress installation go to your root directory (or the directory in which you have installed your wordpress).

Here you will find “wp-config.php” open this file to view its content and here you will find all the details. Remember you can also create separate database and user and enter that information if you wish.

4#  After successful installation you can click on login and login with the email id and password you had entered. For security reasons it is recommended that you should remove or rename the “install” folder from your server.

After all this you will have to add InfiniteWP plugins to all the sites you want to manage.

To download the plugin click here. Once you have installed plugins in all the sites you want to manage remotely. You will get an activation key after activating the plugin and you will have to enter this key in your main control panel where you have installed main InfiniteWP admin setup.

To add new website in your InfinteWP main tool, simply click on “add new website”. Here you will have to enter activation key that you got during activation of InfiniteWP client plugin.

Now add as many sites you want to manage remotely. Now all you have to do is manage them from your main dashboard. Lets focus on some more features of InfiniteWP.

With Premium addons you can manage:

  • Google Analytics
  • Scheduled backups
  • Manage Posts and Comments
  • Backup to Amazon S3 & Dropbox
  • Front end editors
  • WP clone
  • Bulk create Posts, Pages etc
  • Manage Users

Conclusions:

As there are other plugins also which allow you to manage multiple websites from a single dashboard. Free versions of these plugins usually allow you to manage a limited number of websites but with this tool you can manage any number of websites from a single location with its basic features only. I suggest you to try InfiniteWP and enjoy your online experience by saving your time in managing your websites and utilize that time in something else.
