The “out-of-the-box” player is default player and it may or may not fit your theme screen so you also have an option to create a custom player to suit your need. You can create custom player and choose different skin, height, width for your player. You can also set if your video should automatically start when someone opens your website.

Let’s learn how to put this player working on your website.
You can embed JW player in your website using shortcode. There are a lot of different parameters that you can use to embed and customize your player. But I will cover the three main parameters which you will need.
The shortcode to embed JW player in your WordPress website is:
[jwplayer param1=”value1” param2=”value2”…].
Here param1, param2.. are optional parameters that can be used. One of the important parameter is “Config”. Config needs custom player name as its value. As in our case the name of custom player itself is “custom player”. Second important parameter is “File”. File needs the path of your video/Flash file which you want to integrate in your WordPress website. So after uploading video file into your server copy the path of video file and pass it to “File” parameter. You also need “image” parameter to set static image for your video.
e.g. [jwplayer config=”custom player” file=http://www.mysite.com/video/abc.flv file=http://www.mysite.com/images/abc.jpg].
These were some important parameters that you will need in order to embed your video. Apart from this there are many other parameters like:
- Backcolor
- frontcolor
- lightcolor
- download_file.
Conclusion:
If you are looking for video support in WordPress website then this plugin is invaluable for you. It will create custom players for you and you can embed that player in your website. It’s easier and reliable to get your task done with this plugin so go for it. And share this post to help others.

Thank you!!
But it not working in custom post!!!
We manage a custom video streaming solution and find that the pick and click solutions don’t do anything for our sales therefore we need something with this kind of functionality that work with our CDN services. Does this allow such cross pollination?
